Na Pali Coast State Wilderness Park Reservations
Entry into the Na Pali Coast State Wilderness Park is via the Kalalau Trail trailhead in Haena State Park.
Haena State Park requires entry (and parking ) reservations for day visitors that are not residents of Hawaii.
If you plan to hike the trail beyond Hanakapiai Beach, you need a camping permit, whether you plan to camp or not, and an overnight parking reservation if you will park your car at the parking lot in Haena State Park.
The day hike to Hanakapiai Falls, one of the most impressive Na Pali Coast waterfalls, is a detour inland into the valley at Hanakapiai Beach, and does not require a permit.

Haena State Park Reservations for Visiting the Na Pali Coast on Foot
If you are not a resident of Hawaii, and you will arrive at Haena State Park in your car, you will need both an entry pass and a parking reservation.
Alternatively, you can use the North Shore shuttle, in which case you will need a shuttle reservation plus an entry pass.

Hawaii residents with a Hawaii driver’s license or state-issued ID do not require reservations. They do, however, require camping permits if they plan to hike beyond Hanakapiai Beach.
Reservations open at 12 a.m. Hawaii Time 30 days before the date of the planned visit. You can check each day between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. local time for any cancelations.

Parking + entry reservations usually sell out immediately upon availability. Parking at Haena State Park is limited, so it is usually easier to get reservations for the shuttle along with entry passes.
Shuttles depart from the Waipa Park and Ride (where you can park your car for free) or from Princeville Makai Golf Club, where there is no parking. After your visit, the shuttle will take you to your Princeville accommodation.
Visitors that are not residents of Hawaii have to pay an entrance fee to hike the Na Pali Coast or visit Ke’e Beach. Non-resident visitors that arrive by car are also charged a parking fee. You will make payments online when you reserve.
