The Kalalau Trail that runs through the Na Pali Coast of Kauai, Hawaii

Hours

If you plan to hike into the Na Pali Coast State Wilderness Park, you have to abide by park operating hours for day visits. Campers with permits can, of course, overnight in the park.

Trail access into the Na Pali Coast is via the Kalalau Trail, and the trailhead is located at Ke’e Beach, a part of Ha’ena State Park.

Haena State Park is open for day use from 7 a.m. to 7.45 p.m. in the summer, and from 7 a.m. until 6.45 p.m. in the winter.

Summer hours start on April 1 each year, and winter hours kick in the day after Labor Day.

Unless you are a resident of Hawaii, you need to make advance entry (and parking) reservations for Haena State Park, and non-residents have to pay an entrance fee.
